Our New Readers Submissions Plan!
It’s time to tap the vast knowledge of our readers– we want readers submissions!
First, there is a LOT of untapped brilliance in our reader family.
We receive fantastic answers to some of our reader questions — from YOU!!
Sometimes your answers are better than my research!
And we don’t believe in wasting such a valuable resource.
We want the very best answers for our readers here at Patch Puppy.
If you have that answer, we want to share it!
Plus, there is a lot of work keeping up our blog.
I don’t just write the pieces.
There’s so much more to planning, scheduling, researching, and writing this blog every day.
Don’t get me wrong… it’s a labor of love.
But because I insist on giving you the best content I can create, it takes up a lot of my time.
And some days, I just don’t have the piece that I want ready.
Sometimes I need to dig deeper to get past the hype to find the answers you need and it takes longer than I expected.
And sometimes, it’s just not right yet.
So, instead of having a brilliant piece to share with you, I scramble to find something to share at all.
From the feedback we receive, we know that you have answers to share with your fellow readers.
And we know you want to help.
There may even be a few writers out there.
From the success of our Readers Story posts and the feedback we get from you when you love (or disagree with) something, we know we’ve got some fabulous minds out there.
So, we’ve decided that the answer is in YOUR hands!
Today, I’m asking for reader submissions.
If you have something, anything, which you’d like to share — send it in.
Do your best writing job on it, but don’t worry if it’s not perfect.
I promise you — I will edit your work and put you in the best light.
Do you have a list of the best questions ask a new veterinarian?
Have you been looking for a reason to research the best training techniques for the command roll-over?
How did your last DIY project turn out?
Do you have an inside story on the fun of going to a dog show?
We want to hear from you.
Frankly, your fellow readers want to hear from you too.
We get more feedback on the stories coming from readers like you than anything else.
We know we’re onto something.
And I could sure use the help.
So, if you want to participate in our Reader Submissions Program, here’s what you do.
Write your piece, do your best work.
Please use Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
Attach your finished piece to an email addressed to Help@PatchPuppy.com.
In the subject line, write “Submission.”
That way, when our customer service department (Connie) sees your email, she’ll make sure it gets to me.
Plus, we’ll backlink to your blog — you may see some of your Patch Family visiting!
I’ll read all submissions, and I’ll edit them.
And then I’ll schedule them for publication.
When I have an expected publication date, Connie will write back to you to let you know when you will see your name in print.
Then you can tell all your friends!
You will still get the in-depth, well-researched articles that you’ve come to depend on.
I’ll just have a little help staying on top of things!
