There are many reasons why poodles will bark. These are the same reasons that cause other dog breeds to bark as well. Most often, dogs bark because they have a good reason for speaking up. Poodles are no exception to this and here are a few of those good reasons:

2. They are excited

4. A poodle hears or sees strangers walking by the house or yard
5. Poodles want to play

Loneliness

Poodles suffer from separation anxiety and when they are left alone for too long, they can start to bark. The poodle is simply calling for his or her owner. The possible solution would be to leave some soothing music playing when you leave the house or turn alight on. Never leave your pet alone for more than 4 hours or you can make arrangements to have someone come in and play with your poodle while you are away.

Poodles are Excited

Usually, this happens when you have been away from home for a while, and when you arrive, your dog is excited and starts to bark. Instead of reinforcing that habit, ignore the barking dog.

When your poodle stops barking, that is when you greet them and give them a nice reward for not barking. Rewarding them for their barking time means your poodle will always bark when you come home.

Your Poodle is Bored

When your dog is home alone or you are busy, it is easy for them to get bored. When they get bored, they can start to bark. However, this is not a good habit to let your dog get into.
