One of the problems with fighting fleas on puppies is that you have to wait till they are old enough to handle more powerful options. Even natural ones are too powerful for very young dogs.

Not all of these remedies will work on young dogs, so you have to be careful when you apply them. The first option will be your go-to method for the first few months of their young lives.

1. Flea Comb– The safest and easiest method to get fleas off your puppy. No harmful chemicals are involved, and you can easily pick up those fleas from your puppy’s short fur.

2. Dishwashing Soap– This product does not have to go on your puppy. You just put a little dishwashing soap in a dish and mix it with water. Then place this dish or several dishes where you know the fleas are the worst.

While fleas can float on water, the dishwashing liquid has ingredients that weigh the fleas down and traps them underwater where they will drown.

3. Plant Some Flea Repelling Plants Outside Your Home- These plants will help keep fleas away from your yard and make sure they do not get too close to your pet. You can put a couple in a pot and place them in your home as well.

4. Home-Made Natural Flea Spray- All it takes is mixing some vinegar, water, lemon juice, and witch hazel in a bottle or bucket. Vacuum first, then spray the mixture over carpets, furniture, bedding, and other places to get rid of fleas. Don’t forget to spray your pet’s bed with this mixture.
