Talking dog toys can be very entertaining for your little pooch, and for you as well. There is nothing funnier than watching them turn their heads, over and over, trying to figure them out. Hours of laughter to be had.
But it is not all about fun. It can also provide mental and cognitive stimulation for dogs. Doing so, may help to minimize undesirable canine behavioral issues which arise out of boredom and frustration, but it is no guarantee.
Anyway, let’s take a look at some highly recommendable talking dog toys.
Wobble Wag Giggle Ball
Okay, even I enjoy this toy. This is a fun, talking dog toy for canines of all sizes, but can be better handled by larger breeds. All you need to do, is put it in the floor, give it nudge, and it giggles. That giggle will immediately catch your pooches’ attention as well as your cat. It has six bite places, which makes it easy for your dog to pick it up with. This talking dog toy can be used inside and out. sure to wash it in warm water every so often. But best of all, there are no batteries required for it.
I think this is a great toy to leave at home when your dog is bored. If you have a dog who is easily entertained or gets into mischief while you’re away, this might be the talking dog toy for you.
- Be sure to wash it in warm water every so often. But best of all, there are no batteries required for it.
Please make sure to check the condition of the toy as often as possible. If you see pieces hanging from it or anything broken, it might be a good idea to find a new toy.
Pet Qwerks Talking Babble Ball Interactive Pet Toy
The Babble Ball (found on Amazon) is a fun talking dog toy. The great thing about this talking dog toy is it is motioned activated, which means, if dog your breathes on it or even walks by it, it will move. The talking dog toy talks, growls, laughs and makes wise cracks, so it may be entertaining for you as well.
This toy can be very exciting. Yes, it does use batteries, however, if your dog plays with it a lot, even if it makes 100 sounds a day, it should last 4 -6 months.
The manufactures touts that this talking dog toy can produce 12,000 – 15,000 sounds on just one set of batteries, which is amazing. Also, this should be used indoors, not outdoors.
Unlike other toys, this one is quite advanced. It goes into sleep mode when not played with, consuming about as much energy as a quartz watch, while it waits for your dog to give it a sniff.
They come in three sizes.
- small – breeds up to 10 lbs
- medium – breeds from 12 – 25 lbs
- large – 25 lbs and up
The Blinky Babble ball (found on Amazon) is twice the fun. This talking dog toy, not only talks, but flashes which is bound to get your dogs complete attention.
Both are great toys. But please make sure you choose the right size. If you get one which is too small, your dog might choke on it, and then you are off to the vet.
Pet Qwerks X-Tire Ball Interactive Dog Toy
Oh, now here is a really good one. Might be my favorite. (I have never actually chewed on one, so, please do not misunderstand.) This is also a motion activated toy, so it turns on when touched and turn off automatically They come in two sizes.
This one is fun and pretty durable. Even though it has a good surface to chew on (durable Flexi PVC), it is not recommended for heavy chewers, but will be fine if you are vigilante in checking the toy’s condition.
Because it resembles a tire, it is made of rubber on the outside, so it can and will bounce. You can even throw it like a ball.
It flashes and makes a variety of animal sounds
- birds
- cats
- cows
- coyotes
- dogs
- elephants
- frogs
- goats
- horses
- lions
- roosters
- pigs
Now, that is a fun toy!
Petbobi Upgrade Dog Toys Interactive Monster Plush Giggle Ball
Here is a good dog toy that makes all kinds of sounds. All you need to do is shake it or pick it up and it will start growling or making other sounds to grab your dogs attention. The fabric is durable, but as it always with dogs who love to use their chops, they might make sure work of the toy.
Here is the good part. Inside the toy is a very tough plastic ball that should protect the batteries and sound activating device. Now, as far cleaning goes, just take the plush cover off and stick it in the washing machine.
I have seen some very good ratings for this toy, so I do recommend it. And if you would like another color or animal, click the link below.
Neilden Interactive Dog Toys
This dog talking toy, actually barks back. So, your dog might be able to hold a conversation or… argument with the toy. It produces some crazy vibrations, bounces, barks and makes squeaking sounds as well which should entice your dog to give it a good bite and a shake. They are certainly fun to watch as they interact with these talking, bouncing, squeaking dog toys.
It comes with two good, high quality covers.
- cute big mouth
- black bats
Even though I do not recommend toys with fabric very often, I do think these are good for small to medium size dogs, and those canine who were not born, teeth first, if you know what I mean. And I would be very careful with the ears, eyebrows and limbs. These are good dog talking toys. The last one actually barks back. How exciting is that for your dog?
The Bottom Line
The toys that I have put in this post, are all very good talking dog toys, but you know your dog best. Is your dog a heavy chewer? Then you need to be more vigilante. All of them except the first one, require batteries, so it is important to always check the condition of the toy before letting your dog play with them. The biggest toy, at your disposal that you know your dog will enjoy, is you.
