Ingredients:

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup white rice
  • Water

Directions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts in small cubes (about half an inch) and put them into a stockpot.
  2. Now, add sufficient water in the stockpot that it covers the chicken completely. Bring the chicken to a boil.
  3. After that, reduce the heat and let the chicken simmer until it starts appearing completely white. Normally, this entire cooking process will take 10-30 minutes, depending upon the size of chicken cubes.
  4. At this point, remove the chicken from the stockpot and let it cool by spreading over a baking sheet. Remember to keep the broth as you will need it later.
  5. Then, take a cup of rice and wash them repeatedly until you get clear water after washing.
  6. Bring the chicken broth to a boil and add the rice into it. Once the rice have boiled, let them simmer for a few minutes.
  7. After that, cover the pot and continue cooking rice for 20 minutes. The rice will be a little soggy when fully cooked.
  8. Remove the rice from the pot and let them cool completely before feeding them to your dog.
  9. Once the cooling is complete, mix the chicken and the rice and serve them to your pup. Make sure that the ratio is 2:1 where two portions of rice are mixed with 1 portion of chicken.
